@sinbad@mastodon.gamedev.place @psychicparrot42@mastodon.gamedev.place I refused categorically for now to handle online gameplay. But after I see the local one I suspect it's not that much different, I suppose you have to handle all the 'lobbies/matchmaking stuff' / etc. I NEVER played any online game so I have no idea. But I think for now local multiplay is 'a simpler step'.

Timing issues on the network are the worst, you have to make it feel good to the player even though their view of the world is guaranteed to be out of date by some number of ms
