@bosquebill it does in fact work but with incredibly stiff beads it might not do the trick. in that case i usually put the bottom of the bead in the center of the rim while i roll the top of the bead on, if that makes sense at all. the center of the rim usually gives you a little more room. seems to work for pretty much everything.

@BlaynePuklich@mastodon.social Yeah, I follow you. I ride a touring frame with 700c 32 street tires so not super stiff. Last time I almost made it by hand, so this gizmo will likely work. Of course I'll find out in the most uncomfortable situation 😆
