@doctormo@floss.social Chart types that aren't supported in OOXML probably won't be implemented, because it's important to maintain interoperability with MS Office.

@knord@mastodon.social Is it though? In Inkscape our policy for compatibility has always been making it possible to read the files so rendering is maintained. When there's a hole in the spec... and in svg there are many. We have our own output which still renders correctly, but is not editable in other programs. If we held ourselves hostage to Firefox, Chrome, Illustrator and all supposed industry, we'd be serious trouble of not going anywhere. An ooxml can have an svg image inside it right?
