@mntmn@mastodon.social Definitely below 500€, but usually I get an old used one for 200-300€ every decade or so – hence me asking about third-party cases. Seems like it could be a cheap-ish way of keeping older hardware around.
Still have an old x240 or something lying around with a broken keyboard, but I already replaced the keyboard once and it was an awful experience that I absolutely won't repeat.^^

@mntmn@mastodon.social If you ever do a RISCV machine powerful enough for serious use, I might go over that budget, but even then I have a hard budget cap around 1k and only have openings for such a large acquisition at most twice a year, when I get an extra salary. @seindal@mastodon.uno
