We started in Tehran, then visited Yazd, Shiraz, and Isfahan. We saw the archeological sites at Pasargadae and Persepolis. It was all amazing, beautiful, stunning.

There are so many details of places and interactions with people that I could go on about. It was genuinely an amazing, once in a lifetime trip. But mostly I just want to say how very sad I am about the cruelty and waste and pointlessness of my nation's tragic instigation of war. My connection to Iran is so shallow, I really have no right to be sitting here weeping about it. And yet I am. 7 of 7
