There are so many details of places and interactions with people that I could go on about. It was genuinely an amazing, once in a lifetime trip. But mostly I just want to say how very sad I am about the cruelty and waste and pointlessness of my nation's tragic instigation of war. My connection to Iran is so shallow, I really have no right to be sitting here weeping about it. And yet I am. 7 of 7
