@awkwardlefty_cj@eldritch.cafe I’m sorry to hear. Fwiw, I got a rebound after taking #Paxlovid. And then I heard that it was originally meant to be taken for 7 or 8 days but Pfizer reduced the dose to 5 out of concern they couldn’t produce enough for everyone. So the goal became to keep people out of the hospital instead of wipe out the #Covid virus in bodies. I suspect if I had a couple more days of it I wouldn’t have rebounded.

@JacquelineJannotta@me.dm The doctor warned me that rebounding is more likely with paxlovid, especially since I was on day 3 of symptoms when I got it (that's when I tested positive). I'm not sure about there not being enough for everyone - they don't prescribe it to that many people. It was a 5-day dose when I got it back in January and even then it was advertised as a way to reduce the risk of winding up in the hospital, not a direct treatment. It worked really well for me though, both times. I've had my two negative tests 48 hours apart and I still feel good, but I'm going to continue taking it easy the rest of the week.
