Is there actually a good way to do a anti-discrimination work training about gender & sexuality minorities? It's written in a way that suggests the person taking the training is cishet ("Practice self-awareness: do you think lgbtqia+ people are icky?") because otherwise the material has to address the complexities of issues within the community way past the point of comfort for anyone tasked with creating the training.

I think the issue stems from talking about "the LGBTQIA+ community" as a monolith. "Are you LGBTQIA+?" I'm some of those letters! And other of those letters represent people who historically don't necessarily get along with my letters! Once again, the white Christians have lumped a diverse swathe of groups together for their own shitty purposes and thus made life a whole fucking ordeal for everyone else concerned.

@blue@bigshoulders.city I think the only way to do it is talk about behaviors and not about motivations, but that's really hard to do.

@blue@bigshoulders.city how do they handle the anti-racist discrimination training? the same way, or different?
