I think the issue stems from talking about "the LGBTQIA+ community" as a monolith. "Are you LGBTQIA+?" I'm some of those letters! And other of those letters represent people who historically don't necessarily get along with my letters! Once again, the white Christians have lumped a diverse swathe of groups together for their own shitty purposes and thus made life a whole fucking ordeal for everyone else concerned.
