If the rich are the most dangerous minority, it also needs to be said (as Steve Keen does) that: &#39;The most dangerous sincere believers on this planet are not religious extremists, but mainstream economists. They will destroy capitalism, precisely because they falsely believe that it is indestructible&#39;! However, for those of us brought up on Karl Marx, the idea that capitalism has within it the seed(s) of its own destruction (here in the guise of economists) is hardly news..... #economics

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I’ve gained a certain amount of daylight between Keen, because he doesn’t seem to understand what old man Karl said, what cultural anthropology says, and what journalism says about what I choose to call conservative economics. It’s very much an ideological project meant to legitimize economic and political consolidation. Clara Mattei adds documentation This is the source of daylight, because he disassociates the main actors who do what the rich always do: become despots.
