Also, I have to rant about trying to learn anything at all about DSP again. You google something, and you get endless theory and formulas. No mention of practical implementations AT ALL. You do get some graphs if you're lucky. Takes at least an hour to find at least one explanation written in normal human language.

So anyway, in case someone googles "Hilbert transform" and ends up here, you do an FFT, then you shift the phase of the signal 90° in the frequency domain, then you do an inverse FFT. That's the Q part of your I/Q signal. The I is just your initial samples as-is. https://dsp.stackexchange.com/a/63772
