@Phil@freeatlantis.com I think a lot of men are sensitive to rejection. I know why I am (definitely a conversation for another day lol), but that wouldn't fully explain it. I am starting to hear that this is being caused by people trying to isolate their romantic and dating lives to dating apps though, which does explain a lot, since the apps don't work.

  • @Phil@freeatlantis.com There are certainly corporate interests who have emphasized short-to-medium term revenue gains without considering the fact that business will dry up if society runs out of people. It is funny to me that of all companies, it's the ones that own the dating apps (like #MatchGroup) where this is most obvious.

@realcaseyrollins@noauthority.social From my experience, women are very astute at detecting underlying emotions and are also attracted to confidence (obviously generalizations). This being the case, it's quite likely that a fear of rejection will lead to more rejection. Rejection is certainly part of the process and a neccessary one in finding a fit. It isn't easy, and sometimes really hurts, but it doesn't kill and doesn't have to crush ones confidence(or ego). Not every lid fits every pot so try another lid.
