Then there is a paragraph, where they talk about this guy stopping his job search, after a mere 300 hours and after reaching out for "dozens" of positions and having 15 interviews, later it states it stopped bcuz it was making him moody. I lost a job when a company got hammered in late 2008. It took me 40 weeks, hundreds of resume's and 50 interviews before I landed one. To me the idea of giving up because its emotionally difficult, is ludicrus and the attitude of a loser.2/3

I made this dumb playhouse for the goats nearly 10 years ago. They seem to like it. Without some attention, it won't last much longer, mostly because they ate the roof off. IF I replace it, I'll skip the delicious asphalt and go with metal or hard plastic or something.

Im visiting my parents. They allowed themselves to get really old. Many things need fixing/attention. I fixed a drawer in the kitchen. It cost 16 dollars in parts, 2 hours of labor, 13 oh shits and 3 f bombs before I finally had it fixed. While here my aunt (mother's sister) called. Her great granddaughter just had a baby. I would guess that 5 living generations is a rare thing. At the rate my kids are going, id have to live to 200 to see a great great grandchild.

Genocide used to mean the systematic eilmination of a national, racial, or ethnic group. Now it means that the side I don't like is creating victims of war. the word is tossed around in ridiculous ways by ridiculous people.

My son and I have these long ongoing text conversations. He often asks my take on conversations about life, with his friends. He recently said this regarding his friends. Discovering that the coverage of history in their schools was particularly selective and at times completely false has filled them all with a huge dose of skepticism about everything. One of the things never mentioned was the adverse effects of communism. This was in the context of their lived experience, including 1/2

The day may come when I surrender and hire someone to cut my grass. But today is not that day. One day I may sit on the porch and watch another endure the agony of hundreds of feet of weed wacking but not today. Today I soldier on. Besides it gives me something to moan to my wife about. In spite of her protestations, I'm pretty sure she likes it when I grumble.

Goats need copper and zinc. Normally they can get that from a salt lick. But we have one goat that won't touch anything with zinc in it. Then he gets a deficiency and his hair falls out. Early last week wife tried zinc cough drops. Now that's his new favorite thing and his hair is already starting to grow back. Hopefully it want cause some other problem. We checked the ingredients and doesnt seem it will.

I think Wife and I just had an argument. Her: Do you have to be so loud? Me: WHAT?! Her: DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO LOUD? Me: you want to see my penis again? Her: you are being weird beyond your usual weirdness, which is plenty weird enough Me: You cant get enough? You're gonna be the death of me. Her: just never mind. I think I won this one.

My wife had a restless night and all her tossing about kept waking me up. So, I moved to the guest room. I woke up about 35 minutes early and got up to pee. I thought about going back to bed but found this and decided against it.

For years, I hardly knew anybody having babies. Now, suddenly, I know many people having them. I hope this is widespread and not just my particular isolated experience and that perhaps the birth rate has bottomed out and will start to recover.

We've had the same accountant for personal and our business for well over 20 years. He wasnt young when we first engaged him. So today I asked him how old he was. He replied that he was 80 years old but not to worry about it, cuz his partner is much younger;70.
