#Solarpunk is not about PV. But decentralised clean energy is often the base for a free society without lock in to things like #fossilFuel . #capitalism is another thing to get rid of. Solarpunk people are empowered because they accept responsibility. A typical #consumer mindset is not Solarpunk. Solarpunk is a process. Not a state. And it is effort

Capitalism already captured the aesthetics of #cyberpunk while denying it's meaning and the same thing is happening to #solarpunk :neofox_scream_angry: Solarpunk is about exploring what a post-degrowth society can look like (whether that degrowth is active or forced), it's not about solar power feeding the same unsustainable consumer economy. The worst irony is people posting synthetic images on that tag.

@solarpunk2050@dice.camp I’m personally becoming increasingly convinced ideas like degrowth and solarpunk are pointing towards the end of patriarchies, and the return to matriarchal egalitarian societies. Can’t wait!
