@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca I don't, personally, have experience with dog diabetes, just human diabetes, and that, certainly, could be a symptom.
One of my previous greyhounds did have a UTI once where these symptoms appeared and we cleared that with antibiotics.
Diabetes is testable. I don't know normal glycemic range for dogs, but Merck, maker of Vetsulin, lists diabetic dog target range as 100mg/dl and 250mg/dl (5.6mmol/l and 13.9mmol/l). If you have access to a blood glucometer, you can try pricking the tips of the ears for blood sample.
I know of folks that use CGMs with their diabetic pets. I've seen insulin pumps used on a cat. So it's not terribly far off from human values.
