@kura@hai.z0ne.social @hj@shigusegubu.club @fristi@56k.dile-up.nl I've heard people complaining about it since release, I haven't used one myself. There should be custom firmware for it now, which I've heard somewhat improves the RG DS, dunno how much though. Regardless of software, I personally dislike the non integer scale screens (really should've beeen 1024x768) and the fact that the buttons are apparently overly soft/mushy, including the dpad. It's probably fine for people who aren't as picky as me though

@quad@akko.quad.moe @kura@hai.z0ne.social @hj@shigusegubu.club i've heard much of the same. The stock firmware was hilariously bad from what i've heard, and only recent updates made it barely passable. The one cfw that was released for it made it actually suitable for DS play due to optimizations they baked into the DS emulator. But the biggest letdown was that the RGDS had underpowered hardware, and apparently a shit battery to boot. It's only saving grace is that it's only like 100 bucks, but that's too much for something that can barely emulate the thing it was made for, requiring a cfw to save its ass.
