I think I'll keep the OVH server, even though the IPv6 situation is kinda meh.
In the end this is a backup server, which I mainly want for the storage. It'll only run a few jails and maybe a VM, but not be some big application host, where this would be more relevant.
So I'll just NAT the single IP for the few things that'll need it and it'll be fine.

Back to the backup server project. Had a look at the smart data and the drives seem to be about 5 years old, plus minus a year, so there were definitely already some replacements done. All seem to be in good condition though, but I started another smart test to be sure. Then, if that turns out fine, I'll setup the ZFS pool, configure periodic monitoring of drive and pool health and configure the backup program to automatically fetch ZFS snapshots. I'm hoping I'll be able to finish the project by tomorrow.
