Back to the backup server project. Had a look at the smart data and the drives seem to be about 5 years old, plus minus a year, so there were definitely already some replacements done. All seem to be in good condition though, but I started another smart test to be sure.
Then, if that turns out fine, I'll setup the ZFS pool, configure periodic monitoring of drive and pool health and configure the backup program to automatically fetch ZFS snapshots.
I'm hoping I'll be able to finish the project by tomorrow.

@jana@social.jsteuernagel.de Might be worth setting up Scrutiny (https://github.com/AnalogJ/scrutiny) to harvest the SMART data and parse it into a nicer format.
