@jd@ottawa.place seeing this while i am riding a frequent trolleybus to the fully automated SkyTrain, which has been running every 5 minutes or better since 1985, is soooo wild lol maybe it’s just an ontario problem 💀

@jd@ottawa.place @EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca One problem with Ottawa (and similar structure for REM in montréal) is the contct isolating the city from RTG from another middle company and then the actual companies doing work such as Alstom for maintenance. 30 year contract can't be changed. If Ottawa were in charge/control, they could admit mistake and order proper LRTs that don't need to go 100kmh and handle X passengers that don't fit in a tram. But with contract, you can't change these core requirements, dooming system.
