Just imagine this with “men” being replaced with “women”, everyone would be calling for the responsible people’s heads, justifiably so! You can’t fight sexism by being just as sexist, if not more sexist, only into the other direction. The only thing this will ever achieve is that people will very justifiably be offended from being insulted like that, most notably those who would otherwise maybe listen. Remember “believe people when they tell you who they are”? This is an instance of that. This is why I still reject the label of feminist for myself. Getting blamed for all the worlds evils because of an AGAB that I neither chose nor liked was one of the least fun things in my life! And no, I’m not interested in “it’s just irony” or “someone was just frustrated” excuses: Every moral person is extremely angry at the genocide in Palestine, but we would rightfully all understand that “only a dead Jew is a good Jew” would be completely unacceptable, because while there is some correlation between the attacked group and the group doing the bat stuff, they are importantly not the same group and you are attacking countless innocent people here! #Datenschleuder #Sexism
