Currently atop my list are:
- London: seems like an interesting city to live in but not necessarily be touristy; lots of evening theater opportunities I imagine, but probably pricey
- Barcelona: Never been but want to
- Amsterdam: Easy to access flights, interesting infrastructure

@scottsthoughts@better.boston I can speak from experience, Rotterdam is a great city to visit and spend a week working from and exploring. It's a quick train ride down from Schiphol, and there's lots of stuff to do and see (and eat and drink). Less touristy than Amsterdam too.

@scottsthoughts@better.boston Depending on how much time zones matter: Portugal gains you an hour compared to Spain and NL.
