Winter/Spring Gardeners in cold, snowy climes-what varieties of what greens will grow fastest, produce soonest first harvest of green leafy veg, in a cold frame?

@BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden Over wintered kale or perennials like red sorrel are the first greens we normally get. We just leave them in the ground all winter.

@BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden I'd go silverbeet, spinach, chard. But you should also be about to grow (non-hearting) lettuce.

@BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden given how it’s growing in my PNW garden right now from self seeding last year, I’d recommend mâche (often called cornsalad)
