I've successfully submitted edits to Maps with no internal connection, it took ~18 months, but eventually the change happened. I was trying to tell it that I have a driveway, because it kept leading people trying to get to my house down the wrong road, and I had to warn every person who came here.

It feels like the system should be able to auto-detect via sanity check that's wrong, right? Correct address is 1638 NW Overton St, Portland, OR 97209
