So here's the game:

... It feels like the system should be able to auto-detect via sanity check that's wrong, right?

I logged in as a "local guide" and suggested the edit. You can do so as well. If multiple people suggest the same edit I believe it's more likely to get accepted. I don't have a high "level" or whatever, and Google knows I don't live there... but it can't hurt to throw the fix at the wall.
