Hey lovelies! It&#39;s becoming blatantly apparent that the age of search engines is dead. I was thinking back to how I functioned finding things before them: usually bookmarked or scribbled down links to good sites. Do you have any favourites? Wayback and internet archive, of course. Could we compile a list of resource sites for fedi users somehow? Categorized I would guess? I think there are enough of us here with special interests that it would be a work of art in the long run.

@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo Made me think of 'delicious' in case you remember that? Essentially a bookmarks platform that allowed tagging, sharing, etc, which, if scaled across 100s/1000s of people could be very useful.

@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo this is a lovely idea! i have collected a few links to categorized link collections, & i even made one myself. https://www.fmhy.net/ https://url.town/ https://web.archive.org/web/20251114225214/https://wildwild.directory/ https://wiki-index.pages.dev/ https://ofreverence.neocities.org/recommended as for categories, i'm not sure. my ideal would be tags, specifically such that anyone authorized to submit a link to the collection is authorized to create a new tag. if there's gonna be a 15th competing standard, it better be worth it!
