Oh, btw, take a look at that photo of the Nishiki Olympic Royale again. Notice how low to the ground the front fender goes. Try to find *that* on a bicycle nowadays! Now that's what I call "full coverage".
Mine had that same gorgeous metallic maroon/root beer finish.
