Tthat's another thing about the bicycle industry—it mainly caters to (younger, able) men who treat cycling as a hobby or a competition. To the extent that the industry considers women, at all, it assumes that women in the modern day have the option to wear trousers, so the industry doesn't feel much like it needs to offer high quality bicycles designed to accommodate women's traditional dress. Most "women's" bicycles are bicycle-shaped garbage (and not built for 185 cm tall women).

@gcvsa@mstdn.plus Nice thread. A nice alternative to the Soma is the Velo Orange Polyvalent Lowkicker. Looks like they're out of stock, but they go up to an XL and look absolutely lovely.
