@marsiposa@social.coop That's very much it. I had just been laid off as a writer, so I felt like I needed to do something even though there was nothing I could really do.
Mastodon posts are much more in line with my actual energy level, and have a far better audience.

@Cetraria@neurodifferent.me oof, yeah, I can understand that need to put the energy somewhere. I recall starting a blog documenting a project during an unexpected unemployment phase.. but it felt like a lot of work for nothing: not getting the benefits of privately writing for yourself, but also not connecting to people either (I don't think I got any views other than bots).
