@polpo@chaos.social I’d clamp it up in the vice and use a hammer to get it down closer. Breaks stretch metal thus rounding it. Hammering it is ‘upsetting’ and pushes the metal around. If this isn’t ‘production’ then hammering with a smooth faced hammer should get it more square. Production level, a better break would likely produce a better bend.

@polpo@chaos.social metal brake- sheet metal shops have em... you could make your own with the right pieces of steel on a lever. They basically clamp down tight holding the metal still and flat on both sides, and then forcefully bend the small area... if you bend it back an forth and score aluminum will just break :)

@polpo@chaos.social smaller die opening for the press brake attachment and maybe a smaller nose radius on the die. Can still get pretty sharp of a bend with air bending. Otherwise switch to something like a finger brake. Chisel into a small die opening would probably work. File or grind the lower form.
