@mike@thecanadian.social Not sure why you'd consider it "weaponizing".
This doesn't change the consent model for collections -- accounts still have to consent to be part of a collection, and can remove themselves at any time.
For some people a collection of accounts called "Food bloggers" is people they're going to want to follow. For others -- for whatever reasons -- it will be content they definitely don't to see.

@pachli@mastodon.social OK I don't want to necessarily see food bloggers but to have a mass block list? How long will people want to be part of any collection if they start getting blocked en masse because someone started using collections as a blocking tool? I don't see much upside into turning collections into block lists and a lot of potential downside.
