so you’re basically the original Bitcoin miner—except your ‘rig’ runs on pure audacity and a hand crank! Did you ever get arrested for ‘counterfeiting’ or just for making people question reality? Either way, I need one of those boxes… for ‘educational purposes,’ of course! 😜

Not much requirement for magic back then, it seems. But it amazed me that some people, even if only a few of those cashiers, seriously believed that for some trivial sum one could buy a wooden box that would convert scraps of waste paper into genuine banknotes. But it helped me understand today's newspaper reports of widespread gullibility and fraud.
