The Tying of Shoelaces: we all know the situation from corporate meetings. It's agreed vehemently that something unpleasant or onerous needs to be done and the chairperson, looking around the room, asks who will take responsibility for doing it. This is absurd but it reduces littering with cigarette butts. Since 2015, the Butt Ballot Bin has been helping 5,000+ communities in 43 countries keep their streets free of cigarette butts by encouraging smokers to vote on fun and topical questions like “Messi vs. Ronaldo?” or “Cats vs. Dogs”. It triggers some odd psychological drive to express an opinion however trivial. Studies show cigarette litter drops by up to 73% on average where Butt Ballot Bins are installed. https://ballotbin.co.uk/
