@alxd@writing.exchange the blind reactionary rage that throws molotovs is easy to control you're right. Which is why I am trying to speak for the rage if the earth, the volcanic rage that will consume you if you don't make space forbit in your movements. Honing rage is useful and necessary, but what I see most is bypassing rage in favor of more "useful" feelings.

@foundseed@spore.social I might not be precise enough, but - The emotion I want is the emotion of a disaster response worker who comes and tirelessly helps people. No matter whether they were hurt by a hurricane or an enemy army which decided to shoot civilians. I think there is rage, there is anger, there is hope, there is grief - and there is a lot of determination to help. That's the emotion that I want in what I call #solarpunk

@foundseed@spore.social @alxd@writing.exchange I'm not sure that you can 'marginalise' an emotion; also one answer doesn't necessarily fit all or encompass all. I recognise some rage is absolutely a valid response but do you necessarily do something with it? Perhaps you set it aside and step away from the conditions that caused it and create a healthier space.

@foundseed@spore.social @alxd@writing.exchange I've read recently a survey carried out in France that showed the municipalities with the highest shift to the hard-right were those where bar-tabacs were forced to shut down. So the lack of community places caused rage that the fascists promptly siphoned by pointing it at immigrants. I think this shows both things at play: yes, there should be a non-fascist faction that can channel that rage, but also that community support can help prevent things going very wrong.
