@foundseed@spore.social I might not be precise enough, but - The emotion I want is the emotion of a disaster response worker who comes and tirelessly helps people. No matter whether they were hurt by a hurricane or an enemy army which decided to shoot civilians. I think there is rage, there is anger, there is hope, there is grief - and there is a lot of determination to help. That's the emotion that I want in what I call #solarpunk

@alxd@writing.exchange Okay, and WHO HOLDS THAT FIRST RESPONDER? You want to see resilience that comes from rage metabolized, and I am TELLING YOU there is nothing in your scene to help people metabolize that rage and truly come out the other end. I know because even rooted cultures struggle with this type of resiliency. Who is there for that responder's nervous system after the disaster? Who has the tools to hold space for that rage???

  • @alxd@writing.exchange @foundseed@spore.social RIGHTEOUS HEROISM a refreshing idea... we need this so much (and please, when I say RIGHTEOUS, there is not even a whiff of religion in my meaning... all humans are born with moral codes regardless what they believe, and that includes secular humanists, atheists, and agnostics. Religion needs to step aside and let humans do what humans inherently know how to do... without the "guidance" of controlling religious patriarchs.)
