Of course my fantasy requires responsible government but I find it odd that tech bros are using catstrophisation as a sales tool.

@mike@thecanadian.social I think it's to "close the door behind them", and to "regulate themselves". That is, add regulations that make it difficult for any competition to arise, but not add regulations that hinder the already established cartel.
