@Koochulainn@mastodon.ie clearly ’buoy’, and ‘Bowie’ are both supposed to be pronounced the same way: /buː.i/.
Unless we’re talking about Ziggy Stardust, of course. Or buoyancy. What could possibly be confusing about this?
