@Koochulainn@mastodon.ie yes. I live not far from the town of Bowie, Maryland. It’s pronounced like the knife: the same as a buoy, and not like a boy. However, the brilliant musician whose work I have tattooed on my body’s name is pronounced like ‘Bow-ee’. That ‘bow’ like you tie, not ‘bow’ like you take on stage. This fucking language…
