@altomare@oldbytes.space - I got one that the previous owner had no interest in keeping when we moved to our current place. Singer, plenty old, with foot rocker and leather belt. Where's a good place to start looking for the "well documented"?

@altomare@oldbytes.space Oh wow. I remember my grandmother having one almost identical to that when I was a small child… ❤️

@altomare@oldbytes.space I love fixing sewing machine when we got them in our #repaircafes ! Now what's the brand/model of the audio tape player we see in the background?

@altomare@oldbytes.space That silver knob on the front of the body should be the stitch length control. I have two 99s from the 1950s and they're beautiful machines, I'm currently sewing shirts on the newer of the two and it's so much nicer to sew with than any of the other significantly more modern machines we have. I was lucky enough to get both machines in working order and our local sewing machine repair place services them.
