  Never would have thought that my USB to Ethernet adapter would have had a 8MB flash chip in it. Wonder what the firmware is like. Might dump it later

  Went for a hike a couple of days ago at the Mount Toby conservation area and forgot to post some pics I took! The fungus are probably about 4 to 5 inches wide and up to a couple of inches thick. The boulder pic is from the “cave”, as it’s called, but it’s really just a crevices in an extremely large conglomerate rock that has cracked over time.   Was outside clearing out some invasive vines and worked up a sweat. Came in for lunch to wash my face, with the sleeves of my t shirt pushed up, looked in the mirror and thought “I so look like the stereotypical butch lesbian. I wanted to be a princess tho!

  I was trying to get open firmware on my Belkin N+ wireless router (F5D3285 v2), but inspite of being listed as compatible with DD-WTR and OpenWRT, neither works. OpenWRT just boot loops while starting up the system (no messages as to why, just looks good and the full reboot), while DD-WRT doesn’t bring up any of the Ethernet ports (supposedly due to the RTL8366SR). At least it’s easy enough to to reload the OEM firmware via tftp.

  Neighbor across the street is out on her riding lawnmower cutting her grass. It’s barely started growing here, but this is her second time already. I figure my yard has at least another 2-4 weeks before I mow it for the first time

  Shocker! I just got an autocorrect/complete on my iPhone that used the word “fuck”. I thought that was a forbidden word. I was typing out DuckDuckGo and it gave me “duck fuck” ( a phrase I’ve never used) as a recommendation! Hilarious!

  If I was an amoral person, I’d slap something about AI on my site and see if I could rack in some cash. I mean some shoe company I’ve new heard of, dropped the shoe from their business and said they were pivoting to AI and their stock goes up like 400%?!?! WTF? Why? I just don’t get it

  The opening theme for season 4 of That time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime kinda rocks. Have to listen to it more to see if it grows on me or not. Also Rimuru is a pretty hot femboy

  Brain is being a butt today. Keeps looking at stuff and goes “Here’s a project for you. Oh, here’s something else too. How about these third, fourth and fifth things, also!” Like I can really can actually do them. I mean I could physically, but mentally, most would not happen. And that would leave me feeling bad about myself.

  Any recs on linux nas software? Got a box with 2 4TB drives (Raid 1 is what I’m thinking). It’s mainly going to be used to backup my other boxes and devices, so not much in terms of file serving at this time. Boosts appreciated

  Watching the anime “Kado: The Right Answer”. Four episodes in and so far it’s about an extra dimensional being who wants to “advance” humanity. The first thing the alien gives us are devices to draw functionally infinite energy from other dimensions. Years ago, I had discussions about what would happen if there was a box that could power a typical home, about 1.5KW, infinite peak (to allow for inrush). Costs almost nothing to make. We’d collectively kill the world, before that happened
