@pixelfed@mastodon.social Let's work on that kickstarter/Mastodon integration. From a browser, I clicked the link, wanted to be notified when the kickstarter opens, and it asks me if I want to login with Google or Apple or email 😭 But I do look forward to trying out and supporting pixelfed !

just a quick reminder to anyone seeing this that it's been less than a month since the lead dev used the official account to boost his long, cringily appropriated-Black-American-English, now deleted trying-to-be-a-"they-can't-keep-us-down"-rap-song rant (he is neither American nor Black) apparently relating to a dispute about potential in-app ads with a sometime contributor (https://social.besties.house/@h/113730903264902154) who is like, 18? also did not react well to being (gently) called out (by another fedi dev, not some random) about said language use. and probably less than a month before he was Not Making Friends by being all like "i'm progressive BUT fuck the postal strike" (you haven't heard about it because it was in canada sorry) so personally i would hold off on any significant public or financial support for pixelfed until the project gets some actual governance where it's not just one emotionally immature guy having the keys??? also just in case this is relevant everyone involved is extremely queer and gay. him, the devs, me. #FediMeta
