I’ve been developing something called the Human-Made License, a Creative Commons–style way to certify that creative work was made without genAI. I’m looking for feedback from artists, designers, and writers before the public launch. DM me if you’d like to take a look at the first draft.

Lots of great feedback so far. The main vibe I'm getting is people want something like this, even if I don't have it perfect yet. So that's exciting! I'll keep working on it and hope to go public with it in a few weeks.

@docpop@mastodon.social As a writer, my first thought is to call it something else. “License” has a specific meaning in IP law and what you appear to be describing would not fit that definition. It seems like you are describing a “Certificate” or certification rather than a license. In either case, if you’re not an IP lawyer yourself and you want your license/certificate to be legally enforceable, I strongly recommend consulting a lawyer who does specialize in copyright law.
