I’ve started reforming those curly handset cords from the other day
I wrap them around an 8mm dowel and then hit them with the heat gun until they’re “slightly too hot to hold” [1]
Any that are too “loose” I reverse the coil direction before putting them on the dowel as that instantly tightens it up (a useful trick, I should video it!)
Once they’re cool they’re all nice and uniform!
[1] I’m not doing any science here, it’s all vibes and experience

@lpbkdotnet@mstdn.social This is the companion job to the telephone handset sanitizers on the b-ark in Hitchhiker's Guide. I love it actually, there is a really satisfying spring to a fresh telephone cord.
