Getting rid of the GDPR was supposed to be a #Brexshit Benefit, so that Great British Business would no longer be kept down by Nasty Unelected Brussels-Imposed Red Tape, but that seems to be just one of many of the promises of #brexshit that haven't been delivered yet.

It's used like the Official Secrets Act to excuse "stuff" the authorities get upto. One of the conditions was to waive the right to redress for actions taken against you by those acting on behalf of the government. That's right. I had to sign agreement to the (dodgy civil & military contractor) company's GDPR policy. I didn't. And, then a building in Birmingham made a GDPR waiver part of visiting there. I had to sign the waiver to access an "employment programme" with Serco. I fucking snapped.

@TimWardCam@c.im Any business people pretending that "GDPR threatens businesses" deserve to go bankrupt… Considering how frequent is it for companies to ignore GDPR for profit, with very limited consequences or no consequences at all, it needs to be some pretty shitty, abusive, toxic business to actually be threatened by the GDPR… Also anyone who thinks their "business" is more valuable than people's basic rights such as minimum privacy deserves to go bankrupt @das_g@chaos.social @littlescraps@mas.to @diffractie@glitterkitten.co.uk
