@caseyliss maybe something for the show, but what would you say the advantage is of using the travel router’s vpn over Tailscale with a subnet router and exit node?

@TheJesusFish@mastodon.social on the surface, nothing. They’re analogous. But if you want to bring a UniFi Protect camera with you — say, to make sure your dog doesn’t hop on an Airbnb’s furniture — I don’t think that’d be possible “your” way. Additionally, few travel routers have Tailscale support. I have a glinet that does, and it’s clunky as hell. Further, this hardware is astonishingly tiny. So much easier to carry/pack. And way cuter too! 😆
