Nostalgia is very dangerous. Especially when you're alone at the time it hits you. Mostly because it's not entirely real. You process everything, every memory through a brain filter that enhances the good things and suppresses the bad. And so the emotions you experience aren't really representative of what you should be feeling. You should not reject those feelings. Just understand what they actually are.
However, the older you get, the more difficult that becomes.

I had a nostalgia attack the other day; it was about how some of my earliest memories were of music videos like Rosanna, by Toto.
