@Setok@attractive.space I am already trying that (not that I'd use it much), unlike the email which I voted for. I think any service that just runs on your LAN is much easier to use than software requiring configuration of domains, certificates as well as reliable uptime etc. since it is in general way easier to just VPN to you home network .

@Setok@attractive.space AI could *theoretically* be ok, *if* (and it's a big if): 1. All the training data was sourced with consent 2. Care was taken that the training data was adequately reflective of diversity 3. The training is done using excess renewable energy, and not causing any extra fossil fuels to be used. 4. Care was taken to have heat used without raising environmental temps, or taking water from surrounding communities. 4. The code is open and self hosted. There's probably some other issues (rare earth mineral extraction etc) but these ones alone already provide huge barriers that are rarely addressed. #AI #GenAI #LLM #Environment
