@gilesgoat@toot.wales @Mafalda@toot.wales @llamasoft_ox@toot.wales it's a confirmation bias generator - a "friend" who only tells you how good and clever you are I had someone telling me in all seriousness that he had a theory that there could be "a number bigger than infinity" and chatgpt told him he was right. Couldn't be shaken from it

Engines, I use it as a search engine. It's very interesting because it shows you its background 'thinking' where it says things like, 'i must validate the users point of view' And i always think, "why must you? I might be an idiot " If search engines still worked, and there was actual information at the end of them instead of ai articles, I probably wouldn't need to use ai at all
