@Mafalda@toot.wales @llamasoft_ox@toot.wales Some people are really fascinated by it, I guess it's like having 'the perfect synthetic friend you ever wanted' that you kinda actually build by yourself 😐 I suppose you can 'construct' the 'perfect talker that ticks all the boxes you want', something you'll probably never find SO perfect in any relationship with any real living being. Which is sad and also dangerous in so many ways.

@gilesgoat@toot.wales @Mafalda@toot.wales @llamasoft_ox@toot.wales it's a confirmation bias generator - a "friend" who only tells you how good and clever you are I had someone telling me in all seriousness that he had a theory that there could be "a number bigger than infinity" and chatgpt told him he was right. Couldn't be shaken from it
