Yes, indeed it is, and you should wake the fuck up right now, because a resegregated United States will not be a pleasant place to live in for anybody.
The awful, uncomfortable truth is that it isn't just in the *big moments* that racism moves. It's in the thousand slights that are allowed to happen right in front of society's eyes while everyone blinks and pretends nothing happened.

The U.S. isn't just going through a moment, it's been going through a moment. Trump isn't actually the problem, he's the symptom. When you look at the graphs of wealth inequality and resegregation, you'll notice that they started a while ago. These aren't new things here. When you hear anecdotes of harm, those aren't just stories. They're real. Because for every single one that you hear, there are thousands that you don't. 19/20
