@michaelc@scholar.social I can get it down to one thing, but then it can be more difficult to discuss with people who don't know me. It's "work to alleviate suffering for everyone." I can even blast that into specific policy but I won't go on here.

@michaelc@scholar.social the way I put it to myself is the classic genie scenario: if i had one wish from a genie, what would i wish for? my answer would be some variant of "i wish everyone cared about everyone else" or sometimes "i wish people could feel both the love and hurt they deal to others".

@michaelc@scholar.social Without a doubt, I'm committed to the role of artists in America. In nearly every country on earth, artists are part of the common good. In the US, they're producers of marketable commodities. We're one of the few countries without an Arts Secretary on the Cabinet. (arthousesf.org). I'm a native San Franciscan, where a world-class movement in the arts nearly every decade of the 2Oth century. The last one to begin here was Burning Man, in 1990, planned in my flat for the first decade.
